Hawaii!

As some of you know Frankie is taking his first trip to Hawaii next month. It's a big family trip with Maw Maw G and Maw Maw & Paw Paw B (we're going to miss Aunt Kristin). Anyone have any travel horror stories or advice to share with us before the big trip? We're excited and terrified at the same time.

Frankie Finds His Voice

One of Frankie's newest discoveries is saying "no" very clearly. Sure, he would shake his head or indicate displeasure with things before, but he is enjoying the effectiveness of sounding out the NNNN OOOO. This is cute...now -- I give it a week.

Happy Easter!

Today, we celebrated how much we love bunnies, chocolate and eggs.

Frankie's Second Easter

Not surprisingly, everyone bought Frankie easter eggs shaped like balls. And even less surprisingly, he loved them. He took them apart and put them together with intense concentration. Frankie very much understood the concept of the hunt and better yet, the concept of eating things inside the eggs. Towards the end, he figured out he could rattle the egg to see if anything good was left inside. One of our friends, Michelle, was appalled when she realized that Auntie Kristin had placed dried veggies and other healthy items in most of the eggs. But don't worry, Easter purists, he ate his share of chocolate too.

New Easter Books

Frankie was thrilled to get books from Maw Maw G. about one of his favorite subjects -- bunnies. Two out of three even included pictures of one his second favorite subjects -- squirrels eating nuts. Now if only we could find something about squirrels and bunnies playing basketball while eating nuts, we'd have the perfect book.

Choco-Monkey

Frankie tried to take a much bigger bite of Choco-Monkey than we intended. They were sent by Maw Maw G. in St. Louis from the infamous Crown Candy Kitchen, which makes the monkeys once a year for Easter. Yeah, you heard me right. Things are kind of weird up there.
